The engine is built and tested; the public release and the install line come next. Until then, I run it as part of an audit.

One command, four engines
Twenty-six checks across AI answer engines and classic search, each with its evidence, scored and turned into a fix list. It installs as a keel plugin.
What it measures

What it covers
- A page fetched the way a plain retrieval crawler sees it, without running JavaScript
- A separate score for ChatGPT and Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews, never one blended number
- Every signal tagged with how strong its evidence is, from the engines’ own documentation down to informed judgement
- One page, or a whole site with a crawl, and machine-readable output for reports
- An ecommerce readiness score for product data AI shopping agents can read
What it does not
- It can’t tell you whether an assistant already cites you: that depends on what you say and who else mentions you
- It doesn’t measure traffic or rankings
- It isn’t public yet, so for now it runs inside an audit

The checker scores one page out of 100 against what the engines publish. sonar scores each engine separately, crawls the whole site and shows the evidence behind every signal, which is what an audit needs.

It’s a plugin for keel, the open-source studio, and it also works as a standalone command-line tool. keel never loads its code into its own process: sonar runs as a separate program keel talks to.
