Brightpearl

Brightpearl is a retail operations system that combines order management, inventory and accounting, now owned by Sage. It suits brands selling through their own store and wholesale at the same time, with automation rules for routing, fulfilment and invoicing.

Brightpearl has connectors for the main platforms. The integration work is usually in custom order channels, such as a Magento B2B portal or a bespoke trade site, and in getting fulfilment and refund status back to the channel the customer bought from.

Multichannel OMS

Linnworks and Shopify or Magento

Linnworks is a multichannel order and inventory platform used heavily by UK sellers on Amazon and eBay alongside their own store. It pulls orders in from each channel, holds one stock figure, and pushes stock levels back out.

Its channel integrations cover the common platforms. Custom work appears when a store has bundles, composite products or variants that don’t map to Linnworks items one for one, or when orders must carry data the standard channel doesn’t pass, such as personalisation text or a delivery slot.

Inventory and shipping

Veeqo

Veeqo, owned by Amazon, combines inventory, order management and shipping labels, and is popular with sellers whose volume is weighted towards Amazon. Connecting a store to it is mostly about clean product matching and making sure dispatch status reaches the customer on every channel.

Where a business already runs Odoo for stock and accounts, Odoo’s sales and inventory apps can be the order management system: orders from the store and the marketplaces arrive in Odoo, are routed to a warehouse, and ship from there. The integration work is connecting each channel in and making sure status reaches the customer.

Built to fit

A light, custom OMS

Sometimes nothing off the shelf fits: made-to-order products, orders that wait on a supplier, or a trade process with approval steps. A small order management layer built in Laravel, sitting between the store and the warehouse, can be cheaper to run than bending a large platform around the business.

It is only the right answer when the process is genuinely unusual. I will say so on the call if a platform would do the job.
